Tony Prophet is the Chief Equality Officer at Salesforce. In his role, he works to build a workplace that reflects the diverse communities it serves and further Equality for all. He also leads the new Ethical & Humane Use of Technology initiative to ensure our technology not only drives the success of our customers, but also drives positive social change and improves the lives of people around the world. He reports directly to the Co-CEO and Chairman Marc Benioff. Prophet is a board member of Gannett, as well as on the board of College Track.
Previously, Prophet held senior executive product marketing roles at Microsoft including corporate vice president of Windows and Search Marketing, where he was responsible for Windows, Bing, Cortana and MSN brands. Prior to Microsoft, he led worldwide operations for what is now HP Inc and before that, he lead worldwide operations for Carrier Corporation (a United Technologies Business). He was also a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton.
Throughout his career, Prophet has worked to champion human rights and social justice. This includes addressing the root causes of migratory worker flows, educating women workers in developing countries on reproductive health issues and reducing supply chain greenhouse gas footprint, and empowering underrepresented groups in tech.
Prophet holds a BSIE degree from General Motors Institute and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business attending as a GM Fellow.
