Hi there. We’re Zuora. We’re powering the Subscription Economy and changing the way people do business.
One CEO. 1200+ ZEOs. While we are led by one CEO, our career paths and the ways we work are defined by us, the ZEOs. That means we take ownership of our destiny. Challenge the status quo. Be empowered yet accountable in seizing opportunities. Together, we build a collaborative culture that nurtures and inspires ZEOs to deliver our best. From monthly social-themed parties, hackathons, and
philanthropic endeavors, to choosing how each of us grows professionally – ZEOs are not afraid to speak up and get things done quickly.
And we’re growing. We’re looking for game changers, innovators, and leaders who can take us to the next level in helping the world build successful subscription-based businesses.
Interest piqued? Learn more about our culture and what it means to be a ZEO.
Growing companies attract and retain top talent by offering excellent benefits – medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, free snacks, and drinks. ZEOs also enjoy other perks – many suggested, voted, and driven by ZEOs across the company. Here are a few examples that demonstrate ZEO power.
An active body keeps an active mind. We enjoy financial support for gym memberships and a wide variety of fitness events driven by ZEOs and their interests.
It’s all about being as proactively healthy as possible, right? At no cost to ZEOs, our offices frequently host health-oriented programs and events.
We encourage and support giving back to the communities we work and live in—it’s the ZEO way. Whether it be a financial contribution or a donation of time, we make it easy for ZEOs to make a meaningful difference.
Life in the office is exciting but we recognize and value the challenges, adventures and joys outside of work. ZEOs appreciate parenting leaves, financial support for child care, paid time off, and much more to spend valuable time with family and friends.
We enjoy working together, but we also make it a point to have fun, too.
The journey of learning and lifelong development empowers us to create our own future. From free access to the entire Lynda.com training catalog to monthly company all-hands meetings to leadership and technical training courses, ZEOs continue to grow professionally in the way that makes the most sense to them.
"Shortly after I joined Zuora I was invited to participate in the Rock n' Roll SF half marathon. I had done some running before but never a long race like this one. I thought it was impossible. But I accepted the challenge to say fir and with a few months of training completed the race! My mom even flew from the East Coast to watch. I went on to successfully lead the next team in finishing the half marathon race at Half Moon Bay. I am very proud of this accomplishment and that I could help insire others to say fit"
"I love how there is always someone on our team coming up with a fun initiative. Whether it's picking an idea for the annual Halloween competition or getting creative to win the Funny Hat contest, our team enjoys hanging out. We always end the week with a glass of wine and cheese."
"What started as the promise of a free workout and running swag turned into finding something I never knew I was passionate about. Lo and behold 3 half marathons later and helping other ZEOs run and fundraise for the Girls in Tech 'If Girls Ran The World' program, I am beginning to identify as a runner. I run for my mental, physical, and emotional health but I've learned I can also run for others and twoards goals I didn't realize I could achieve. Saying yes to that first half marathon has empowered me to be wildly healthy, ambitious, and happy."
"Hosting Zuora's first 'Inspiring Women in Tech' breakfast at our annual Subscribed event in April 2016 was one of the most memorable days of my life! It was a celebration of inspiring, genuine and profoundly successful technologists who happened to be women."

Customers have changed. They’re looking for new ways to engage with businesses. Consumers today have a new set of expectations. They want outcomes, not ownership. Customisation, not generalisation. Constant improvement, not planned obsolescence.
In the old world (let’s call it the Product Economy) it was all about things. Acquiring new customers, shipping commodities, billing for one-time transactions. But in today’s new era, it’s all about relationships. More and more customers are becoming subscribers because subscription experiences built around services meet consumers’ needs better than the static offerings or a single product.
Our vision is “The World Subscribed” where one day every company will be a part of the Subscription Economy® (a phrase coined by our CEO, Tien Tzuo and author of the best selling book Subscribed).
THE ROLE
The Renewals Manager is responsible for owning and executing a portfolio of renewal contracts in an assigned territory. The ideal Renewals Manager is an experienced professional with a full understanding of the SaaS contracting space. They are responsible for minimising financial attrition, locking in favourable terms with our clients, identifying growth and providing insights to the business that improve future outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be driven, curious, intelligent and deeply passionate about renewals. You will remove barriers to customer retention and collaborate with the broader sales and customer success team to deliver a high value customer experience at time of renewal. This is a demanding role that requires strong priority management and interpersonal skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The opportunity ahead of us is to lead the best companies, industry by industry, through their journeys, guiding their transformation and ultimately creating a multi-billion dollar revenue opportunity. Like technology, where we’ve become the standard for SaaS companies looking to IPO. Or manufacturing, where we count 8 of the top 10 auto manufacturers as customers, along with industrial manufacturers like CAT, JCI, and Honeywell. Or media, where we service 20 of the largest newspaper publishers around the globe. We’re even starting to see change happen in retail, helping companies like Best Buy on the journey, and financial services, with customers like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Barclays.
Because what we do is rooted in business model transformation – the way we must align our go-to-market is by industry. Doing so will require a greater depth of understanding, stronger messaging, more tailored product and partner strategies, and an expert field organization, with confidence and credibility, that can add significant value to the CEO-level conversations we’re having across industries.
We’re looking for a leader to help drive and accelerate Zuora’s vertical go-to-market strategy. Someone with a deep understanding and a strong instinct for the mechanics of an industry and how to uncover and create value. Someone who understands the industry landscape, the changes on the horizon, and who can offer unique guidance and value to executives trying to navigate this change. Someone who can help Zuora, as an enterprise software company, uncover new ways to define and deliver solutions for these companies with our technology, people, and partners. And someone who is a change-agent who can push Zuora to evolve in our approach and thinking – ultimately helping us fulfill our promise as a company.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
Create the World Subscribed by dominating one market vertical at a time, with an organization aligned around a repeatable formula.
The High Tech Transformation
For the past dozen years, Zuora has had a front row seat to the transformation happening across the high-tech industry and has helped over 600 customers in the space emerge as leaders in the Subscription Economy. From “subscription native” SaaS companies like Docusign, Zoom, Box, and Splunk who bet on Zuora to help them grow through IPO and beyond, to global leaders like Cisco, IBM, Xerox and NCR who have embraced customer-centric subscription models to drive growth through the next decade, Zuora has become the trusted partner across the high-tech industry.
But the opportunity ahead is limitless. Software continues to eat the world, and “as a service”models are the standard. Legacy billion dollar software companies are striving to transform, while every day a new SaaS unicorn is born. Hardware companies are realizing the potential of delivering connected services with their physical devices for faster growth and a greater connection to the customer. Our roadmap for navigating this journey, born from our experience with hundreds of high-tech leaders, has the potential to propel Zuora to an even stronger leadership position for years to come.

The Manufacturing Transformation
The manufacturing industry is in a state of disruption, the likes of which we haven’t seen since the industrial revolution. Across segments, from automotive, to healthcare devices, to industrial equipment, to consumer goods – companies are seeking to unlock new value and build direct, recurring relationships with their customers by delivering new services designed to work with their physical products. In fact, since 2018, manufacturers with connected device services have grown 7X faster than the S&P 500 industrials.
Zuora has been the leader in helping guide companies on this journey, serving 50 of the largest manufacturers in the Fortune 500, including 8 of the top 10 auto manufacturers, and 4 of the top 5 printing companies in the world.
This has put us in a position to develop insight, expertise, and data that no other company in the world has about what it takes to succeed in the new Subscription Economy, and for this reason, C-level executives across that manufacturing industry are turning to Zuora to help them shape their strategy for the decade ahead.

There is a massive shift in the global economy. Up to 77% of people worldwide want to own fewer things and subscribe to more services. It’s the end of ownership and the rise of usership. Usership has not only created a better world, it has transformed whole industries from technology, to manufacturing, media & entertainment, banking, and even government.
Zuora has paved the path to success for over 1,000 of the best companies in the Subscription Economy™. We coined the term Subscription Economy™, wrote the best-selling book on it, and defined what the greatest sales deck ever should look like.
We’ve set the foundation with our vision and mission but our growing portfolio of cutting-edge innovations is in need of a world-class product marketer to lead one of our flagship products. Your mission is to create a whole new category of technology that clearly aligns our differentiated solution with customer value.
Zuora has a renowned marketing culture, and if you so choose to accept the challenge, you will redefine the world of B2B enterprise SaaS product marketing.

Through storytelling, messaging, positioning, thought leadership, competitive intelligence, analyst relations, pricing and packaging, we help Zuora grow by increasing win rates, net dollar retention and revenue expansion. Like many others at Zuora, our team is a team of teams partnering closely with our engineering, design, sales and marketing organizations (to name a few) in a collaborative effort to make shift happen.

THE TEAM:
Our Marketing team plays a pivotal role in evangelizing the subscription economy and sustaining Zuora’s rapid global growth. ZEO marketers are world-class storytellers and strategic campaign builders. We are a design-driven organization that loves to collaborate, innovate, and tackle tough technical and conceptual projects. Traditional cookie-cutter B2B marketing is taboo here. Instead, with everything we do — from marketing operations to brand design — we strive to create original solutions and stand out from the crowd. We are energized by our work, inspired by our team, and always looking to take our marketing to the next level.
YOUR MISSION:
Translate our company’s unique perspective and expertise into a global platform that brings the “Journey to Usership” to life through a system that unifies our brand(s), our content, and our experiences (digital and physical). Drive expanding engagement with the companies and executives in our target markets that ultimately delivers the pipeline needed to create a $1-4B recurring revenue business.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Rewrite the blueprint for how marketing itself works for the new era – guiding the world’s best companies on their “Journey to Usership.”
We’ve coined the term “Subscription Economy” and have driven the acceleration of this shift. We even wrote the book on it. We’ve shaken up how other software companies think about marketing and positioning.
The “Subscribed” brand, and our associated content, properties, and events, has become the reason that senior executives at the best companies look to us for insight, strategy, and guidance on how to succeed on their journey to usership and win in this new world. Our expertise is one of our most valuable assets, and we have the opportunity to use this asset to become a multi-billion dollar revenue company.
We must dramatically scale our Subscribed brand platform, and become the global trusted voice for this business transformation. We need to think differently – not like a b2b software company, but like the world’s best media companies, who live or die based on the ability to spread ideas through compelling content, unique physical and virtual experiences, and strategies to grow and cultivate organic audiences.
We’re looking for a leader with a deep understanding of what it takes to create a category-defining brand, who thinks more like a modern show-runner (see this, and this) than a software marketer, who understands how to use digital platforms to generate a following. And a leader who can scale an organization of amazingly talented storytellers and to inspire the CMO class of 2030 who, when we look back, learned how to rethink b2b marketing at Zuora.

WordPress Developer – Part time Contract – 25 hours per week
Our Vision
Customers have changed. They’re looking for new ways to engage with businesses. Consumers today have a new set of expectations. They want outcomes, not ownership. Customization, not generalization.
The Role
The WordPress Developer will be an important part of Zuora’s small but growing web team, and will play a critical role in successfully delivering new webpages and evolving the site.
A key element of this role is translating designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible pages using WordPress and Elementor. Success in this role requires a strong background in CSS, HTML, javascript and WordPress.
The developer will also assist with web technologies that support our site, such as setting up a/b tests in the site testing platform Google Optimize.
This role will work closely with the members of the web team and also with internal customers.
The WordPress Developer role is a part-time contract position.
