Zuora Launches Asia Pacific Operations to Serve Growing Subscription Economy

The announcement follows on the heels of Zuora’s US$36 million Series D funding and its expansion into the European market, and recent recognition as the AlwaysOn 2012 On-Demand Company of the Year and one of the top 3 enterprise startups to work at.

Ruthven will direct all regional sales and marketing operations across Australia and New Zealand, enabling Zuora to meet growing demand for its subscription-based service solutions.

Ruthven has more than 20 years’ commercial experience in the IT industry, including 15 years at CA Technologies where he held senior executive roles in Australia, Asia Pacific, Japan, and emerging markets.

Ruthven initially joined CA Technologies as Sales Executive in Sydney and then went on to run the company’s ANZ operation as Managing Director, before being promoted to Senior Managing Director for Asia Pacific Japan. Most recently, he spent four years with CA Technologies in the US where he took on several global role, including Executive Vice President for Global Sales Operations, and General Manager and Managing Director – Growth and Emerging Markets.
