Marketo is transforming how marketing and sales teams work together to bring in predictable revenue. Founded in 2006, Marketo has had quite a ride, growing from 1M to 95.5M in just five years.

With such aggressive growth, Marketo needed a flexible billing solution that could support rapid innovation.

However, the billing system they'd started out with suffered frequent downtime and offered zero pricing flexibility. It made managing customer information a severely cumbersome process: so much so that at one point they had to draft executive assistants to help with bill runs.

Marketo turned to Zuora in early 2008 for its flexibility, ease-of-use and quick implementation. Zuora equipped Marketo with the functionality to create new pricing plans on the fly, manage recurring revenue with just a few clicks and seamlessly sync to Salesforce to integrate customer information across the business.
