Why should AI productivity gains be concentrated in the engineering world? At Zuora, we’ve built the efficiency powerhouse for finance teams with Zuora AI, intended to supercharge productivity across quote-to-cash.
Trusted by CFOs and built directly into quote-to-cash, Zuora AI helps finance teams move faster by automating repetitive, manual tasks and delivering explainable insights grounded in the data that runs their business. Instead of spending hours building reports, investigating billing issues, reconciling records, or troubleshooting workflows, teams can get answers and take action in minutes.
Since launching 60 days ago, Zuora AI has quickly become one of the most widely adopted capabilities across our platform. Customers have used Zuora AI to generate a 119,667-row service contract report in about 13 seconds, prepare a 780-row refund and fee reconciliation export, audit more than 1 million payment methods, and trace usage billing down to upload time, bill-run execution, invoice amount, and processed status. These are the kinds of everyday tasks that require deep system knowledge and historically meant manual investigation or support from technical teams.
Today, we’re expanding into new areas across quote-to-cash, bringing new agents to Catalog & Commercialization, Deal Desk & CPQ, and Accounts Receivable & Collections functions, while expanding our agent library for Billing & Invoicing, Revenue, and System Administration teams.
New Ways to Put Zuora AI to Work
When we launched Zuora AI, we focused first on some of the most common finance workflows across billing and revenue operations. Customer engagement has given us a direct view into the next workflows where AI can create the greatest impact.
Today, we’re announcing new Zuora AI agents across:
- Catalog and commercialization: Launch and optimize products with less operational overhead. Build and maintain catalogs, manage pricing changes, monitor SKU health, and generate merchandising content that keeps pace with the business.
- CPQ and revenue operations: Accelerate quote-to-cash configuration and reduce setup friction. Generate quote rules, validate business logic, configure CPQ experiences, and troubleshoot complex implementations with greater speed and confidence.
- Workflow and process automation: Turn operational requirements into automations in minutes. Create, modify, explain, and troubleshoot Zuora Workflows using natural language instead of manually building logic from scratch.

Early Adoption, Real Results
More than half of Zuora customers have already adopted Zuora AI, with some organizations seeing entire teams of more than 100 users self-adopt the product almost immediately.
We’re powering millions of AI interactions each month as customers move beyond experimentation to embed AI directly into the work that keeps quote-to-cash operations running, supercharging productivity of these teams.

Customers are using Zuora AI most often for:
- Self-service reporting, data query, and export workflows that would traditionally require SQL knowledge or help from IT: One customer generated a service-contract report with 119,667 output rows in under 13 seconds.
- Operational investigation to explain invoice, bill-run, usage, payment, refund, and credit behavior, analyzing documents such as invoice PDFs and spreadsheets.
- Troubleshooting revenue and account mappings, workflow errors, API payloads, authentication issues, and external rate limits.
As Jennifer Burroughs Fowler, Director of Revenue Accounting Operations at Hootsuite, shared: “I used the new AI tool in Zuora yesterday and it was amazing! It reconciled an account for me in less than two minutes.”

Customers have also shared that using Zuora AI (either through the Zuora UI or through our MCP Server) is like having an extra set of hands on your team. Speaking on Zuora MCP, Emanuela Balough, Solution Architect at Visma said, “It’s like having your own assistant. I can let MCP do its job while I’m working on something else.”
That same productivity impact is reflected internally: Zuora’s own finance team has cut reporting time by about 70%. Finance Productivity Without Compromising Control
AI is helping teams do more with the same resources, accelerating work, and making complex processes easier to navigate. But in finance, speed only matters if it comes with accuracy, transparency, and control.
That’s why Zuora AI operates directly within quote-to-cash, inside existing controls, permissions, and audit frameworks. Every interaction is grounded in the underlying system of record, with approval flows, activity logging, permission controls, and human oversight built into the experience.
Behind the scenes, Zuora AI combines specialized skills across billing, revenue, collections, reporting, and administration functions to act as a digital teammate for finance teams. And it has context from all the accounts, subscriptions, invoices, payments, revenue, product catalog, workflows, and integrations that live in Zuora. Instead of teaching a generic AI how your business works, Zuora AI is already grounded in the data and processes that run it.

It’s still early, and we’re moving quickly to expand agent coverage into more of the workflows finance and operations teams manage every day. It’s clear AI is becoming a natural part of how quote-to-cash work gets done and Zuora is at the forefront of this transformation.
