EVP Operations & IT
Cathy MacDonald joined Xplornet Communications Inc., a rural high-speed service provider in early 2010. At Xplornet she is responsible for all aspects of IT and Operations with a mandate to work with the company to put the customer at the center of all operational activities and ensure alignment of people, processes, and systems across the entire organization to consistently execute well for Xplornet’s customer. Cathy is the executive leader for customer care, billing and collections as well as being accountable for shaping and enforcing organizational policies and standards, while leading Information Technology, Program Management, and Learning and Development. Under Cathy’s leadership at Xplornet the IT team implemented a highly integrated and modern CRM, sales, billing and provisioning solution for the Xplornet business using the Salesforce and Zuora cloud solutions and an internally developed installer/provisioning application as well as the SAP financial management and supply chain solution.
Prior to joining Xplornet, Ms. MacDonald held various senior IT and operational positions at Rogers Communications Inc. over a period of more than twenty years. These positions included Senior Vice President Enterprise Business Transformation and Senior Vice President of IT where she was responsible for all IT within the Communications division of Rogers (cable, internet, VOIP and wireless).
Cathy obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
