Zuora’s Dec ‘13 release addresses new European electronic payment method standards and gives customers more invoice template configurability

Latest release introduces support for SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), and delivers more invoice configuration controls

Foster City, CA – January 9, 2014

Summary

Zuora, the subscription billing, commerce and finance leader announces the availability of its Dec ‘13 release. This release introduces features that focus on support for new payment standards in the European Union, increased maximum invoice items for complex, multi-layer sales channels, and new configurability for invoice templates.

Highlights of this release include:

  • Support for SEPA

Beginning in February 2014, 33 countries in Europe will begin using new standards for electronic payment transactions conducted in Euros. These standards are covered under the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) initiative of the European Union. With this release, Zuora’s payment operations have been updated to incorporate support for SEPA standards, ensuring that merchants in Europe that use Zuora can receive electronic payments in a SEPA-compliant manner.

  • New Maximum for Invoice Items

Merchants with partner and reseller sales channels often have a need to send invoices that consolidate thousands of items that represent a complex multi-level billing hierarchy. With this release, Zuora has increased the maximum number of charges allowed per invoice to 5000, to meet the needs of merchants with complex multi-layer billing relationships.

  • New Configuration Option For Zero Dollar Items

Invoice templates now include a new parameter to hide zero dollar line items from display, either at the subscription or the rate plan level.

All of Zuora’s hundreds of customers automatically received this product update with no negative impact to existing configurations and customizations. This is only possible with the modern, multi-tenant SaaS architecture found in Zuora’s Z-Business platform. Customers can read about the details of the Dec ‘13 release here.
