Zuora’s Z-Billing and Z-Payments Services Are Now 100% Integrated With Salesforce CRM

SAN FRANCISCO — Salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference — November 3, 2008 — Zuora, Inc., the fastest-growing on-demand subscription billing and payment service, today introduced its plans for Z-Force, a 100% native Force.com application, that pre-integrates Z-Billing and Z-Payments with Salesforce CRM. Founded by Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry veterans from salesforce.com and WebEx, it is Zuora’s mission to revolutionize the online subscription industry. The announcement was made today at Dreamforce ’08, salesforce.com’s User and Developer Conference.

Zuora’s Z-Force is 100% built on the Force.com platform. It is fully integrated with Z-Billing and Z-Payments, combining best-in-class on demand billing and payments with Salesforce CRM to provide a fully integrated lead-to-cash system that also provides 360-degree visibility into all customer activity. The three major modules of Z-Force are:

  • Z-Force 360: Makes all customer subscription, billing, and payment data visible within Salesforce.com for a 360-degree view of the customer and up-to-date metrics for subscription businesses.
  • Z-Force Quotes: Enables sales teams to easily build customer-ready quotes based on a subscription product catalog. Approved quotes are automatically pushed into the billing system for end-to-end billing and subscription management.
  • Z-Force E-Commerce: A fully integrated, shopping cart-like functionality for taking orders directly from websites, with minimal IT resources or involvement. Built using the new Force.com Sites capability of the Force.com platform, Z-Force is currently in private beta.

“Now, Zuora is the first and only company that offers a complete subscription management platform that is 100% integrated with Salesforce CRM,” said Tien Tzuo, CEO, Zuora. Tzuo was the 11th employee at salesforce.com and was responsible for the design and launch of the Salesforce CRM and Force.com AppExchange offerings. “We know first-hand the challenges of running a subscription business, and that’s a key reason why we are focused on building the de facto standard for subscription billing and payments.”

“We love both Zuora and salesforce.com – Z-Force makes both products even better and fills a void we didn’t even realize was there,” said Brandon Disney, COO, Data Doctors Franchise Systems, a national computer services firm. “With Z-Force all of our customer invoices and payments are integrated perfectly into Salesforce CRM, allowing us to both sell and manage our subscriptions in a seamless way.”

Zuora launched its first product, Z-Billing, in May 2008. Z-Billing is the first billing application designed specifically for subscription companies, giving them the flexibility and power to create, manage and grow their business. In October 2008, Zuora launched its second product, Z-Payments. Z-Payments is a complete payment solution built for subscription businesses and includes the ability to accept PayPal payments. In just six months, more than 45 customers have selected Zuora, including Cloud9 Analytics, Marketo, and Box.net.
