Zuora Announces It Will Establish a Data Center Presence in Europe

Foster City, Calif. – September 22, 2016 Zuora, Inc., the world’s leading provider of subscription billing, commerce, and finance solutions, today announced that the company will establish a data center presence in Europe. The company plans to start hosting customers by July 1, 2017, with a primary Amazon Web Service (AWS) data center in the Frankfurt, Germany region, and failover capabilities located in Ireland.

Zuora® has experienced accelerated growth across Europe and tripled its number of employees. The company has over 165 customers in Europe with annual recurring revenues growing by 276 percent since February of 2013.

Recent legal and regulatory changes have impacted how European customers view protection of their customer data and the transfer of this data outside the EU. As a global company, Zuora holds itself to the highest standards and is committed to safeguarding the data of its European customers, even beyond what is legally required. The EU instances of the Zuora application will be hosted independently from the U.S.instances.

“In the wake of the recent Safe Harbor ruling by the European Court of Justice and subsequent regulatory developments, including the adoption of Privacy Shield, we recognize that compliance with European data privacy requirements is of paramount importance to our customers,” said Marc Diouane, President of Zuora. “Establishing a data center presence in Europe reinforces our commitment to our growing customer base in the EU.”
