Patrick Hughes joined Autotask as Assistant Corporate Controller in 2016 with four years of revenue management experience and five years of investment accounting experience. Patrick’s expertise lies in accounting process automation for fast growing, high volume, subscription based businesses. At Autotask, Patrick reports to the CAO and owns all accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger operations in addition to administrating the applicable financial systems of these operations. Autotask has been in hyper growth mode, expanding its product offering and customer base significantly, resulting in the need to appropriately scale its systems and implement cost and time saving processes. Autotask leverages Zuora as its sole billing & AR management tool to support the business growth. Prior to joining Autotask, Patrick managed the accounting team for TripAdvisor’s subscription based advertising product which grew over 300% during his time with the organization. TripAdvisor also used Zuora’s subscription billing platform and Patrick led key initiatives such as revenue recognition automation and MRR reporting creation. Patrick also spent 5 years with Bank of New York Melon in the client accounting department supporting large defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans and endowment funds. Patrick obtained his B.S.B.A from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.
