President & Chief Operating Officer
Chris Donus is the President & COO of Silvercar, the app-based, premium car rental service acquired by Audi in 2017. He is a member of the founding executive team that completed research on the Silvercar concept and secured the initial Series A funding to launch the company. Subsequent to the initial launch, he has led the process to successfully raise multiple rounds of equity and debt capital in excess of $100 million to fund expansion at critical stages of growth.
Before joining Silvercar, Chris was a Finance Executive at Freescale Semiconductor. During his time at Freescale, he was intimately involved in helping the company emerge from their private LBO status to a public company through an IPO in 2011. Prior to the IPO, he was involved in over $5 billion of capital markets transactions to restructure and refinance the LBO capital structure.
Prior to Freescale, Chris was the Assistant Treasurer at Hertz Global Holdings, the parent company of the Hertz Corporation. During his tenure at Hertz, Chris was responsible for negotiation, structuring, and ongoing management of the entire capital structure, which included $6B of vehicle financing structures as well as another $6B of non-vehicle related debt.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business and a BS Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, MA.
