THE TEAM

The Product Management team at Zuora are in the frontlines, intimately working with Zuora customers and users to identify product opportunities, functional requirements and business processes. Product Managers translate this data into product strategy, roadmap and detailed requirements that are hyper focused on business impact and customer value. Product Managers evangelize with internal and external stakeholders for buy-in and partner with engineering to bring their product to life. Additionally, Product Managers will ensure success of their product by working with their Product Marketing counterparts to drive pricing strategy, product positioning, promotional planning, product launches and product adoption strategies.

 

YOUR MISSION: Develop product strategy and release features that increase the value of Zuora’s commerce capabilities, including support for integration up/down stream systems and internal services like revenue recognition.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY (AKA: Why you want this role over any other out there) 

The product catalog is the entry point into the subscription, and key in creating, fulfilling, and nurturing customers and their orders.  Through this role you will help define the strategy for a next generation product catalog that helps drive our customer’s revenue and support their end customers.

 

This role will work directly with a well-staffed Scrum team responsible for the commerce strategy for the leader in the subscription economy.  These capabilities are a major success factor in business growth for our customers and also in driving net dollar retention (NDR) internally. This is a great opportunity to lead the redefinition and development of a major feature key to the growth of the organization.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE

  • Identify KPIs that align to your goals, drive your roadmap, and used to measure the success of your team
  • Deliver measurable Customer Value (Product) Roadmap that aligns to the overarching product strategy and drive release planning and delivery efforts
  • Effectively manage end-to-end feature delivery: direct user experience prototypes, author functional requirements and functional specifications, create and prioritize user stories, analyze user data to drive decisions, publish release information, drive customer adoption, and manage feature deprecation
  • Increase product value and Scrum team productivity by establishing standards for measuring feature and development performance, and deliver measurable improvements to the product and Scrum team metrics, making the service and the people around you more effective and productive

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • 5+ years of strong product management experience leading enterprise software
  • Demonstrated experience of customer focus and empathy showing passion for building long-term customer relationships that driving value
  • Ability and willingness to work with distributed engineering, sales, and services teams
  • Experience performing competitive analysis to assist in value focused outbound product positioning and inform internal development priorities
  • Experience defining data transformations and storage needs and document data access and data syndication requirements
  • Ideally experience with product catalog systems including a deep understanding of pricing systems and modeling product catalog structure in a manner that supports customer selling goals
