Our Business Technology (BT) team is Zuora's internal engineering organization, responsible for creating technology experiences that connect our teams, drive business alignment and build a stronger, more collaborative work “place.” With a cloud-first approach, we empower our global ZEOs with increased productivity and self-service to enable company growth, scale and flexibility while hardening our security and compliance posture.


In the role of Salesforce System Administrator you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing our increasingly vital Salesforce ecosystem. Your primary role will be developing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform to support Zuora’s CRM objectives.

Understanding our customers’ needs, behaviors, and purchasing patterns will help us achieve our ultimate goal and drive exceptional customer experiences across our ecosystem. CRM is what ties this all together and we need you to help make it a reality. At Zuora our Salesforce footprint includes Sales/Service Cloud, Marketo, Clari, and a number of other integrations.

  • Serve as a primary resource for Salesforce custom development specifically as it relates to Apex, SOQL and related Salesforce languages and technologies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of integrations with Salesforce clouds and assist in implementing new and maintaining existing integrations.
  • Work with CRM team members and business partners to understand requirements and optimize technical processes to meet business needs in Salesforce.
  • Design and implement Salesforce platform solutions using best practices through standard configuration and custom development.
  • Develop clear requirements and specifications for when custom development is required.
  • Establish best practices for development, testing, and change control.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and apps in order to maintain the health of Zuora’s Salesforce instance and recommend technical solutions to business problems.
  • Log and track identified system problems and work with technology teams through resolution.
  • Document and maintain Zuora’s Salesforce ecosystem and provide knowledge transfer to technical teams interfacing with the platform.

As we are a global company and support users across multiple time zones, you may be asked to work 'on-call' or on a rotational shift basis, please consider this before applying. 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related experience.
  • SFDC Certification — either SFDC Admin or SFDC Developer
  • 3+ years of relevant development experience. Certified Platform Developer preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency developing on Salesforce or related platforms.
  • Approaches Salesforce development with an emphasis on platform scale and sustainability.
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with Salesforce languages (Apex, SOQL, Aura), JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Experience with middleware technologies such as Dell Boomi or Mulesoft preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, including REST, SOAP, Tooling, Bulk, Streaming, Connect, etc.
  • Must be customer-focused and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience   

  • Zuora Billing experience or the desire to learn it.
  • Experience in version control and continuous delivery systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
