The Technical consultant has a high proficiency in translating business problems into solution leveraging the out of the box configuration capabilities of Zuora as well as technical solution based on Zuora APIs, data exports and loads and advanced configuration. Should always ensure that solution provided is delivering business value.

 

Manages multiple complex tasks and priorities while maintaining the ability to engage with team members and clients. in a professional and timely manner. Maintains control during challenging project situations and projects confidence to other team members and the client. Communicate (written and verbal) professionally and in the correct business form with team members and clients. 

 

The Technical consultants will carry out the following activities as part of an engagement :

 

  • Run Technical training or lead technical deep dives with the Client.
  • Can run add on training/sessions on core Zuora functionalities, is an expert on Zuora capabilities and feature
  • Configure Zuora to fulfill use cases. Identify areas of complexity and propose technical solutions.
  • – Develops code that consistently meets and sometimes exceeds the functionality specified by the Client and Zuora Solution Architect using industry and Zuora/Client code standards.
  • Provide the client with the expertise on the Zuora API, integration technical best practices, data export and load, including guidance and support for data migration activities
  • Will review the work done by the Client or by an implementing Partner in order to provide guidance, feedback and anticipate issues.
  • Through individual actions and on a day to day basis ,demonstrates a clear understanding of Customer Success. This means developing technical solutions to solve business problems and not simply code. Develops proficiency in identifying when a technical solution may not solve a business problem and therefore puts business value at risk.

 

What you will do and achieve:

 

  • Design, develop and implement high-quality code in order to meet project expectations and deadlines.
  • Independently own development projects through all life cycle phases (Java, PHP, Ruby, .Net and Python)
  • Learn to be a subject matter expert in the area of subscription billing
  • Collaborate on several concurrent projects, which could include coding and design, coordinating new releases, or documenting projects.
  • Utilize your excellent problem solving skills to meet business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Develop and test programs that are easily maintainable.
  • Work with your Solution Architect and other team members to ensure proper application of all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC), and that completion dates are met.

 

What you need to be successful: 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related major
  • He/She has 5 years’ experience in implementing and integration Software solutions, ideally in Billing, CRM or ERP domains
  • Previous consulting experience implementing software solutions a plus!
  • Familiarity with web technology and SQL (e.g. HTML, Javascript and modern framework)
  • Salesforce administration knowledge and APEX experience
  • Basic knowledge of network and communication technologies  (HTTP, SMTP, etc) is a plus
  • Security and compliance (e.g. encryption, PCI DSS)  is a plus
  • Payment service (credit card payment, bank transfer, etc)  is a plus
  • Solid understanding of object oriented technologies to develop software applications.
  • Ability to accurately scope, plan and estimate the level of effort for tasks, with an appropriate balance of risk and effort
  • Demonstrated strength with complex problem decomposition
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional English skills
  • Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies
  • Willing to work in a fast paced startup environment
