THE TEAM

Zuora’s Billing Operations team acts as the gatekeepers of revenue & platform data. We have the unique experience of being “customer zero” – whereby we use our own software to manage contracts  and turn them into subscriptions.  Ensuring the accuracy of all that data and enabling customers and our internal stakeholders to make informed decisions based on it takes a highly detail-oriented team to manage.

YOUR MISSION: 

As more and more companies move towards offering subscription based services, Zuora is striving to stay at the forefront of that marketplace.  As a member of Zuora’s Billing Operations team, you’ll be responsible for managing the utilization data within the entire account portfolio as well as provide industry leading support for customer requests, questions & concerns.  You’ll inherently become a Zuora “subject matter expert” and collaborate with internal Product, Support & Engineering teams to solve problems and drive enhancements to our software UX and for the customer experience. 

 

Billing Analyst: 

What you get to do:

  • As a member of the team, you will become an expert in the subscription business model, exploring the Zuora tool’s capabilities in facilitating billing operations. 
  • Become familiar with the intricacies of the Zuora Billing tool to eventually strategize on optimum execution of License and Services bookings for better efficiency and accuracy while maintaining SOX compliance
  • Day-to-day includes billing account management, turning executed contracts into subscriptions, helping streamline invoice automation, resolving billing issues while maintaining a high level of customer service, and collaborating with various teams in the quote to cash process. 
  • Act as customer “zero” for Zuora: Provide feedback, test new system enhancements, and help evolve the Zuora products.
  • Participate in developing and documenting controls and procedures surrounding our multiple process flows.
  • Analyze and report on metrics to support the Company’s business objectives.
  • Work with several systems we rely on in the Finance & Accounting department, including Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, and FinancialForce.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization with Sales, SalesOps, Deal Desk, Professional Services, Global Services, Business Technology, Revenue, and Collections. 
  • Participation in Ad-hoc projects – reporting, process improvement, reconciliations, etc. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience in SaaS operations 
  • Takes pride in being extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Adaptable to change and motivated towards process improvement
  • Zuora/Salesforce experience is a plus, but not required
  • Stamina to work extended hours during month-end close
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Comfortable with being independent in owning your account portfolio, but also able to work as a team and support one another during month-end close
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Structured thinking and curiosity for problem solving
  • Adept at data manipulation in Excel & Google Sheets
