THE TEAM

The Product Management team at Zuora is in the frontlines, intimately working with Zuora customers and users to identify product opportunities, functional requirements and business processes. Product Managers translate this data into product strategy, roadmap and detailed requirements that are hyper focused on business impact and customer value. Product Managers evangelize with internal and external stakeholders for buy-in and partner with engineering to bring their product to life. Additionally, Product Managers will ensure success of their product by working with their Product Marketing counterparts to drive pricing strategy, product positioning, promotional planning, product launches and product adoption strategies.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Platform Product Management,  you will be a key member of the platform product management leadership team bringing to market product innovations to support Zuora customers from their first trial experience to onboarding and throughout their lifecycle. We call this the Zuora Digital Experience. 

What You’ll Do & Achieve

  • Hire, lead, coach, unblock and motivate a growing team of Digital Experience Product Managers. 
  • Create alignment and consistency with each of your Product Manager’s product goals.
  • Ensure your product line exceeds customer expectations, both from an API and UI/UX perspective.
  • Meet with our customers as the domain expert, regularly, to get buy in on strategy, vision, design and roadmap, ensuring we are meeting customers’ needs and solving customer problems; 
  • Develop competitive and market expertise to assist in outbound product positioning and inform internal development priorities.
  • Help define product pricing and packaging, ensuring your product lines meet internal success metrics.
  • Assist product marketing with core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Build trust-based relationships at the executive level internally and with our customers and partners.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Ability to think like a CEO to drive the success of Zuora’s Digital Experience Product Lines.
  • At least 5 years experience growing and managing a team of product managers within an enterprise software or SaaS organization.
  • Leadership through influence rather than organization structures. Proven ability to motivate, lead, and collaborate with cross-functional product development teams and manage interactions across product areas.
  • At least 15 years of relevant, hands-on product management experience and demonstrated success at leading enterprise software SaaS companies.
  • Ability to analyze complex business data and Customer use cases.
  • Solid understanding of relevant technology and tools including APIs, cloud solutions and programming languages and how SaaS integrations work.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong product design skills, from both a technical API and user interface design perspective
  • Demonstrated success defining and shipping products in an iterative manner, with a hands-on willingness to do whatever it takes from an execution perspective.
  • Experience transforming product strategy into well-articulated business requirements, as well as using qualitative and quantitative data effectively to inform product direction and prioritization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to handle both executive-level discussions as well as functional / technical deep dives.
  • Fantastic problem-solving abilities, analytical horsepower, and attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work with distributed engineering, sales, and services teams.
  • Bonus points
    • Good understanding of Order-to-Revenue business processes and the related workflows
    • Knowledgeable in Subscription billing concepts
