Lead a worldwide engineering team to consistently deliver technical solutions to internal Zuora systems to enable future business scale.


This is your opportunity to build out an IT team of engineers. Take ownership of the delivery engine for IT, and synchronize what your team delivers with the rest of IT and beyond into the Zuora business teams. This team is responsible for the core back office applications used to run the Zuora business, which includes both Zuora and SalesForce implementations. The role also will require you to optimize the integration layer (currently Mulesoft/Lambda) for effective monitoring and an ability to significantly scale.


  • You will be a key leader in the IT organization providing engineering resources to the prioritized approved work in the IT portfolio. 
  • Optimized technical landscape that enables the team to deliver technical projects and programs consistently and predictably. 
  • Integration of an effective integration layer that enables significant scale of business.
  • Lead the IT team into the next level of maturity in anticipation of being chartered to deliver significant change that enables the Zuora business to meet their targets.
  • Development of key business relationships that enable the deep understanding of the Zuora subscription business, and the opportunity to provide technical solutions that provide significant advantage.


  • The ability to communicate to all levels, including the executive committee.
  • A robust understanding of technical solutions and how they can be optimized for delivery. Currently the landscape includes a number of technologies, including Mulesoft, AWS and AWS Lambda.
  • A proven ability to deliver technical change in a consistent, dependable manner with high quality.
  • A clear knowledge of various software development methodologies – including agile and waterfall styles. Also robust experience with tools used for the development (JIRA, ALM, etc).
  • A value driven mentality that consistently works to optimize solutions and deliver value.
  • Ability to manage many priorities across a worldwide engineering team focused on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • A solid understanding of IT roles and responsibilities, specifically ITSM and the separation between development, operations and support.
  • Desire to nurture the growth and success of others, demonstrated by at least 3 years of direct management experience.
