Zuora is seeking an energetic, creative, self-motivated “ZEO” in our employee communications function. This position will both manage and contribute to a variety of internal communications programs globally in support of company goals and objectives.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Employee Communications, as part of the ZEO Success team, which is the group that focuses on the success of all of our employees, and will also partner closely with the Marketing Organization.

This results-driven individual will act as an “employee brand ambassador,” promoting the company’s unique culture, bringing new ideas to life with creativity and business impact. The role is focused on informing, inspiring, and motivating our employees. The ideal candidate will partner with the Director to create an internal communications strategy and develop programs, processes and tools to enhance employee awareness.  You will work collaboratively across a variety of different organizational teams worldwide. You are capable of executing a strategy and plan, and understand key business elements. You work tirelessly to create engaging and clear communications. You are creative and resourceful, an out-of-the-box thinker who injects fun into communications with an eye for detail.


  • Partner with the Employee Communications Sr. Director to construct and implement internal communications programs, processes and events aligned with company objectives
  • Collaborate with partners across functions globally to support communications execution (building narratives about business initiatives, projects, product launches, and people).
  • Partner with marketing, external communications, and other communications partners on integrated communications plans (policy, product launches, PR, social).
  • Partner with HR to establish and proliferate employer and recruiting brand.
  • Contribute to, writing, editing, and distribution of content across diverse channels including intranet, email, newsletters, social media, recruitment sites, live events, digital signage, etc.
  • Support quarterly all hands events and senior leader communications. 
  • Collaborate with other organizations to develop and manage the company’s Intranet
  • Manage consultants and vendors associated with employee communications programs
  • Help Zuora build on a culture of trust, execution, compassion, integrity, respect, teamwork and fun


  • 5+ years of employee/corporate communications or related experience in high tech
  • Articulate and persuasive communicator with outstanding writing and listening skills
  • Strong working knowledge of principles of effective internal communications including: video production, social media, public relations/journalism, and event management 
  • Willing to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, high-growth, international organization
  • Ability to work across multiple organizations, geographies and business units with a track record of using traditional and emerging communication tools and technologies
  • Planning and execution skills are key, as well as strong client relationship management and partnering skills
  • Executive presence, high level of professionalism, confidentiality and judgment
  • Knowledge of human resource programs, such as compensation and benefits, leadership development, training, recruiting, etc. is preferred
  • BA/BS degree required, Communications or related graduate degree a plus
