The Global Services (GS) PMO Program Manager will possess a proven track record of successful enterprise system, software or SaaS implementations, and experience developing or supporting a PMO. You take pride in your hands-on experience leading projects; but also understand the process, tools, and organizational dynamics required to continuously improve professional services business performance via the PMO.  

As the PMO Program Manager for Zuora, and a critical member of the global services (GS) team, your primary mission will be to monitor the delivery of projects in play and improve the process and tools required to continuously improve quality and predictability of delivery.  You will interact closely with the Delivery Program Management community (i.e. the PM community), the GS Client Manager and Solution Delivery Manager Community, the GS technical Center of Excellence Leaders, and product teams to help develop the support structure to enable PMs to deliver integrated solutions to Zuora customers. You will leverage your strong communication and relationship building skills to enable the diverse PM community to succeed across a wide variety of projects, and to build PM community cohesion and collaboration. Your demonstrated experience as a hands-on project manager will allow you to balance the practical with the theoretical aspects of the PMO.  Additionally, as part of your charter you may need to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a customer engagement.  Your love for multi-tasking will prove useful as you will be responsible for managing PMO initiatives and day-to-day operational responsibilities depending on priority.

The GS PMO Program Manager will report to the GS Global PMO Lead.  The office location for the GS PMO Program Manager is Redwood Shores. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Overall at-least 10 – 12 years of experience; with at-least 6+ years as a project or program manager, and 3+ years PMO experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience implementing Enterprise software applications.
  • Understanding of different SDLC’s such as waterfall and Agile.
  • Focus on professional services vs. product development – account management, client service and/or management consulting experience.
  • Successful candidates must have strong communication and problem-solving skills, organizational effectiveness focus and a drive to improve business results.
  • Experience working with a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team and customer base.
  • A demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and apply new project management tools and processes to a growing organization.
  • Worked in an organization or role to help build or run the operations of professional services organization.
  • Work with Project or Program Managers to enhance process and tools.
  • Able to mentor individuals and improve their skills and capabilities through one-on-one interaction or through organizational training materials.

Technology experience or awareness in the following:

  • Project Management scheduling, resourcing and communications tools.
  • PMI certification.
  • CRM/Salesforce or ERP platform.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce, Financial Force PSA and/or Domo.
  • Use of social media and training technologies to interact with a professional community.
  • Experience with SaaS based implementation is a plus.
  • Ability to run or assist with a client engagement if required.
