The Manager of Accounting will support the Corporate Controller. The Manager of Accounting will drive accounting related projects (including SOX, process efficiencies, system implementations) as well as support the operational accounting and the financial reporting teams. The role provides significant growth opportunity as it encompasses day-to-day controllership duties as well as involvement in several project-based initiatives. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Corporate Controller to scale global accounting policies and processes while meeting compliance deadlines
  • Perform special projects in accounting focusing on operational efficiencies
  • Assist with the global close process including preparation/review of journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis
  • Assist in all financial reporting responsibility areas to monitor the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting
  • Willingness to jump in where needed including areas such as Treasury, Revenue, Tax, Operational Accounting, and Technical Accounting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams. Utilize strong business and accounting acumen coupled with strong communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • CPA required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, Big 4 public accounting experience plus industry experience is preferred
  • Technical and operational knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Knowledgeable regarding SOX and interactions with external auditors
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in and outside of finance to build scalable processes to support growth
  • Ability to execute in a dynamic, high speed and demanding environment by demonstrating organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, works well under pressure, highly detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to follow through and implement process improvement
  • NetSuite, Workvia, Blackline experience a plus
