Zuora is looking for the best and brightest talent to be the Director of Business Technology Infrastructure based at Zuora's NEW headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA.  Zuora is looking for a highly skilled individual to build and manage a best in breed secure global corporate infrastructure across Zuora’s rapidly growing staff and corporate facilities. This role will be responsible for Zuora critical Business Technology production infrastructure environment which includes 6+ co-locations, security program, AWS infrastructure, on-premise infrastructure, data lake infrastructure, telecommunications, and DevOps across 18 locations in 10+ countries as well as the buildout of new sites. This individual will champion and lead the implementation of key tools and processes to support SaaS applications, systems architecture, security, ongoing monitoring and related systems. This position also requires creating both strategic and tactical plans relevant to department and company goals as well as managing the budget requirements. The Head of Business Technology Infrastructure will also assist in coaching and training technical teams across Business Technology and implementing a strategic vision for future growth.

What you’ll do & achieve: 

  • Design and build next-generation secure infrastructure to help Zuora scale to support its rapid growth.
  • Assist in implementing proactive monitoring to ensure minimal network, SaaS and systems downtime.
  • Assess security resiliency of all Enterprise SaaS applications and on-premise systems to ensure secure and sufficient redundancy.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors as needed for additional NOC security, support and monitoring.
  • Partner with the Security team to conduct constant network and systems intrusion testing and provide support for compliance audits.
  • Act as primary manager of vendor relationships for all Business Technology infrastructure and security-related products.
  • Design of security policy and compliance with requirements of both internal and external audits and recommendations.
  • Perform analysis of security needs not limited to imaging endpoint systems and security tools
  • Hands-on knowledge of securing, maintaining, overseeing AWS and network infrastructure
  • Assist in the review and development of security policies and procedures, and ability to write SOPs is a must
  • Managing migrations to all environments, build and operate advanced CI/CD processes, and managing Business Technology cloud-based infrastructure
  • Provide self-service access for engineering teams to deploy, scale and access infrastructure.
  • Design a security risk and assessment framework and create priority objectives for Business Technology to execute on QoQ.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, anomalies and do RCA of incidents and outages
  • Manage fiscal year budget for security and infrastructure operations to financial forecasts 
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end-users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience: deliver monthly reports; participate in knowledge sharing activities; work closely with the customer and business partners to develop solutions
  • Ability to mentor and lead the team and serve as a point of contact to the customer

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 8+ plus years as a lead managing SaaS applications and on-premise Linux and Windows systems industry experience, with MCSA, Red Hat, Linux + or similar certifications
  • 4 + years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience
  • 3 + years in a hands-on security technology role 
  • Knowledge of logging and Aggregation tools (ELK Stack or Sumo logic)
  • Experience with any Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Mesos.
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Technology. (AWS-including EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, load balancer, CloudFormation, GCP, Azure)
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Server infrastructure, SSO Solutions, Google Apps for Enterprise, and high-availability 
  • Strong understanding and experience Jenkins, SQL or NoSQL Databases, New Relic, Ansible, Puppet, and/or chef
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Consul, Packer,Vault, KeyCloak  
  • In-depth knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SSH, HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, Syslog, and TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPV6)
  • Experience with vulnerability and antivirus tools not limited to OpenDNS, Sophos, Malware, etc
  • Experience with Client/Server environments Linux, Windows, OSX
  • Extensive hands-on experience with server virtualization technologies (VMWare, Parallels, etc)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with server hardening
  • Knowledge of JAMF (Casper) a plus, puppet or chef experience a plus, familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, LibreNMS, Zabbix, or others)
  • Strong understanding of networking
  • Perform regular operating system and application patching of Microsoft products and Linux systems.
  • Experience with Atlassian products
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, Ruby or other scripting languages
