Alvina Antar, Zuora’s CIO, is an honoree for Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times Bay Area CIO of the Year Award 2016 in the ‘Private Company’ category. The winners will be announced on June 22, 2016 at the annual CIO Awards Event.

Antar joined Zuora in 2014 as CIO driving the evolution of IT from a service provider to a world-class Business Technology and Solutions organization . She is an inspirational leader who believes that empowered leadership requires strategic vision, infectious energy, genuine humility and constant curiosity. Antar established Zuora as the Best Reference Account, ‘Zuora on Zuora’, with credibility as product expert and highlighting the power of investing in your own technology. “My IT team provides invaluable product feedback to product & engineering as customer zero. I am proud to share our own implementation with prospects and customers as a trusted CIO to CIO reference – the power of transparency” she says about the profound impact of this initiative.

At the recently held Subscribed ‘16 conference, Antar launched the first Subscription CIO Exchange creating meaningful relationships with CIOs fueling digital transformation and a New Quote to Cash Architecture in the Subscription Economy. She has been an integral player in the creation of Zuora’s first women’s group and moderated an incredibly memorable Inspiring Women in Tech panel. Antar was most recently a speaker at the Girls in Tech Catalyst conference celebrating the most innovative women in the world. A frequent speaker at technology conferences, Antar is a member of the Athena Alliance whose mission is to promote qualified women to board of director opportunities. She is also on the Executive Advisory Council at DocuSign, DOMO and Lithium Technologies.

Prior to joining Zuora, Antar spent 17 years at Dell focused on Business Transformation, Global Delivery and Mergers & Acquisitions. Her agile IT strategy fueled by emerging technologies and disruptive solutions were integral to Dell’s evolution from a hardware company to an end-to-end solutions provider. She has extensive experience building high-performance global teams delivering strategic results for Fortune 50 Enterprise and holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston .
