Informatica Cloud Launches with Zuora in Only 60 Days

Informatica is “the Independent market leader of data integration,” explains Darren Cunningham, VP of Marketing at Informatica Cloud. 84% of Fortune 100 companies and more than 4,200 enterprises worldwide rely on Informatica to access and integrate their information in the traditional enterprise, off premise and in the Cloud. With more than 1,300 customers using Informatica Cloud Express to process over 50,000 jobs per day and integrate over 10 billion plus records per month, Informatica saw an opportunity to be the first provider in its space to offer customers a pay-as-you-go model with online subscription commerce capabilities.Informatica Cloud wanted a complete order-to-renewal solution that was end-to-end for launching their 1st self-service cloud-base product, Informatica Cloud Express. Meanwhile, their customers needed the ability to self-service and purchase after a 30-day free trial.

So Informatica needed a solution that supported a pay-as-you-go business model where customers do not have a contract but instead a month-to-month subscription based on metered consumption.

Finally, the Informatica Cloud team also wanted to offer pricing and packaging for different editions including tiered pricing.

We contacted Zuora to help us reduce our time to market,” explained Cunningham. So Informatica Cloud selected Zuora's Subscription Commerce solution for its ease of use and speed of deployment. They launched Informatica Cloud Express with self-service capabilities in a blazing 60 days. “Zuora was really easy to implement in the Informatica Cloud,” boasted Cunningham. Now Informatica’s customers can purchase immediately or sign up for a 30-day trial. Their customers can also see where they are with consumption and informatica sales can engage if consumption is close to maximum usage. Informatica Cloud now offers 7 pricing tiers that include usage for a pay-as-you-go model. “I think Zuora gave us the confidence and ability to deliver that to the market in an amazingly short amount of time,” explains Ron Papas, General Manager of Informatica Cloud

“Salesforce.com gave us the platform and ecosystem to build our SaaS business around. Now with Zuora, we have the right commerce tools to instrument our business for growth and provide our customers with the self-service capabilities to buy only the cloud data integration services they need when they need them.”
