Senior Scrum Master (Redwood City, CA)

As a Zuora Program Manager you will have had proven success in this role, and be comfortable and capable of communicating Zuora's solution, both strategically and technically, to Finance, IT and management executives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build and lead a cross-functional Program Team to successfully deliver business objectives for complex and cross-functional programs.
  2. Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.
  3. Coordinate and facilitate daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, release planning, and sprint retrospectives for 2-3 cross-functional Scrum teams.
  4. Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent teams from delivering on objectives.
  5. Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase productivity and to foster innovation.
  6. Mentor team members on agile software development principles and practices.

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master (or equivalent experience with other agile methodologies).
  2. 5+ years of project management experience delivering software development and/or infrastructure projects as a Project Manager, Development Manager, or QA Manager.
  3. 2+ years experience managing projects for commercial software products or online services (SaaS experience).
  4. Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, databases, networking, and/or software development.
  5. Experience with Agile Development, Scrum Project Management, Lean Principles, Test Driven Development.
  6. Thorough understanding of enterprise software development processes and lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile development.
  7. Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to team development; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  9. Ability to adapt, to be flexible, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  10. Proven track record of building motivated, collaborative, and productive development teams.
  11. Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with technical team members.
