Senior QA Engineer

Position Overview:

This position will be part of an experienced global QA engineering team. This individual will develop, drive, and execute a coherent, progressive, customer centric QA strategy for Zuora's product line.


The position will interface with development, management, product support, and customers. Experience with general software testing methodologies, software installation frameworks, mechanical design, and software project management is desirable, as is experience with agile test methodologies.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, develop and execute tests against Saas software products
  2. Work with development team to create advanced software procedures and tests
  3. Validate code changes against existing test suites
  4. Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defect and provide detailed input to development
  5. Assess and provide valuable feedback on products
  6. Ensure test planning, execution, and reporting is effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineering (particularly QA) position
  2. Strong product-oriented focus - willing to dive deep to understand the product
  3. Development experience using programming language such as Java and shell scripts is a plus
  4. Knowledge of /experience working in an SaaS product is desired
  5. Knowledge of/experience working with financial product is highly desired
  6. Strong documentation and analytical skills
  7. Experience in short release cycles on product that has been released for public consumption
  8. Experience with Build and Continuous integration tools(Maven, Hudson)
