Senior Java / Force.com QA Engineer (Redwood City, CA)

As a Senior QA Engineer at Zuora, you will test, automate, and deliver enterprise application software that are running “on the cloud”. You will be part of the Z-Force QA team that builds and runs manual and automated tests for Z-Force product releases, collaborate with our engineers in product development, testing and documentation. Your contributions will run from understanding product requirements and QA planning of product features through their delivery in commercial releases and subsequent, market-driven improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, create and execute automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Force.com Apex.
  2. Create test cases and maintain associated test records.
  3. Review manual test cases and provide feedback on suitability for automation.
  4. Support, maintain and enhance all GUI automation related activities during iterative development, system testing, regression testing and post production testing.
  5. Establish and configure testing environment.
  6. Mentor QA team members with Selenium related tasks.
  7. Record issues into a defect-tracking system; Follow-up and close issues; Escalate issues to a higher level where issue resolutation is not achieved within a reasonable amount of time.

Required Skills/Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality engineering position
  2. Strong understanding of Scrum methodology
  3. Experience with Web application testing
  4. Experience with Continuous Integration frameworks and integrating test automation
  5. Experience with Force.com technologies (Apex, VisualForce) is a plus
  6. Development experience using programming language such as Java and shell scripts
  7. Knowledge of /experience working in an SaaS product is desired
  8. Strong documentation and analytical skills
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  10. Experience in short release cycles on product that has been released for public consumption
  11. MS/MS in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field preferred
