QA Engineer

Position Overview:

A QA Engineer supports regressions and new feature testing to ensure timely and high quality releases of Zuora products. The person in this role will play a key role in requirements analysis, defending API standards, writing automated integration tests, and communicating failures to engineering.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Develop test plans and test cases according to business and technical requirements
  2. Conduct exploratory testing and acceptance of new features, execute test cases
  3. Identify bugs through systematic testing, help developers reproduce errors, report defects and ensure that defects are fixed
  4. Add test cases into existing automation harness

Position Requirements:

  1. 3+ years QA experience. We are particularly interested in experience with SaaS applications, and demonstrated ability to generate test plans independently, and to quickly become an expert on the feature areas you have owned in order to test those areas effectively.
  2. Experience writing automated tests (not just record/playback) or programming experience with Java or an equivalent object-oriented language, or scripting language such as Shell, Perl or JavaScript is a plus
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects in complex software features
  4. Ability to communicate and collaborate with developers to identify bugs through systematic testing, help developers reproduce errors, ensure that defects are fixed, and structure robust test cases
  5. Understanding of SaaS software product life cycle, QA principles and process

Education:

  1. MS/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
